DON'T BUY
Long term he thinks it's good, but he's staying away from it for now.
TRADE
Finding uses for drugs when they come off patents.
TRADE
Interesting speculation. They are in the right territories (shallow ends of the basins).
HOLD
Very boring, but it is for real. Have great assets in Peru, and some other tie ins in China.
STRONG BUY
Bought last week at 9. Thinks there is a big future there.(speculative)
TOP PICK
Very high quality, more anounments to come over the next week or two. This one can really motor. Has Held for 6 months. Still Strong Buy
TOP PICK
Has faith in management, likes the demographics/drugs. Some people don't like it, he does.
WEAK BUY
Not much growth in their smaller assets. Their i-fire division is driving their total outlook. They have to beat the competition and any success there could result in an $6/8 stock. It has taken a long time to get their flat screen product to market.
SELL
Would be a seller of all steel stocks at this time. A great company and they have done well. If you are going to be in steels, you are better off in pipes which is a longer term growth story. China is turning into a net exporter rather than an importer.
SELL
Take the money and run. Feels all the good news is already in the price. Hard to assess what an achievable target would be.
DON'T BUY
Not too bullish on metal stocks. This one has struggled in this cycle. Not a lot of growth at this time. Wouldn't be his first choice in any case.
DON'T BUY
Oil strategic reserve is almost filled and once you get into the seasonal low of the 2nd quarter, feels that oil wil more likely settle back into the $40 range. Likes the company. Has some good growth profiles. The biggest risk is the Horizon project. Will be a major capital expenditure if they go ahead with it. Would take some money off the table if he owned.
WEAK BUY
Sold his holdings last year and hasn't come back to it yet, but is watching closely. Visudyne now has growing competition. Didn't like the Attrix acquisition and not sure if they will get any growth from it. Has good cash position, assets and core product.
TOP PICK
Although the auto sector has only grown at less than a 2% rate in the '90's, Magna has managed a 17% annual rate. Have a great cash position. Trading at about 9.5 X earnings and 4 X cash flow. Has dropped but looks like it is finding a support level.
DON'T BUY
Long term outlook is not good. Wellbutrin is going to face major competition. However, it is a very cheap valuation and if they cut their US sales force, they will be able to generate $1.50 in earnings. Some investors are using it as a trading stock, but he is not comfortable with it.
