Bombardier Inc has shown remarkable growth and transformation in the aerospace and defense sectors. Analysts have acknowledged a significant turnaround from near-bankruptcy to a leader in business jets, with improvements in debt and a solid balance sheet. The company has benefited from increased demand in the aircraft segment, particularly in private aviation, and has secured government contracts that may lead to further growth. Despite the promising outlook, some experts caution that the stock is trading at higher multiples, indicating potential valuation concerns. Overall, optimism persists about its future prospects, with strong service business margins and an expanding order book.

BUY
Long term view is positive. It's returning to profitability this year and into next year. Last quarter's numbers were good on their aerospace side. Rail and European operations have been an ongoing restructuring. Wait to see what happens with developing the new regional jet.
DON'T BUY
Market is getting a little less worried about this company. They're a little more comfotable with the business jet market, foreign exchange issues are not as serious, maybe transportation margins will improve. He's not bullish as he has never seen a company in the mass transit market make money. Lots of risks.
TOP PICK
Exclude any valuation on the C series project. Likes because there is an improvement in the margins of the main transportation business. Has cash flow. Financial problems are behind them.
DON'T BUY
As a rule, he doesn't buy turn arounds. Prefers looking for the strongest company in the industry, not the weakest.
DON'T BUY
Doesn't think this stock is going anywhere for a long time. Debt to cash flow is still very high. Asset sales are not enough. Not doing enough on the rail side.
DON'T BUY
There was some good traffic flow out of the Paris air show and some contracts, but is there enough ramp up in the business to break into some decent level of profitability. Still a "wait and see".
DON'T BUY
Not a huge fan of this company. Thinks the bottom has been hit for aerospace for awhile. Still some risk on the regional jet market. Have their work cut out for them in restructuring and getting the cost structure down. A lot of this is starting to be reflected in the stock and it may go back to test the lows again.
DON'T BUY
Collapsed and now starting to base build and trying to survive. Just came above its 200 day moving average. Could be a trade for hard core traders.
DON'T BUY
Has an incredible debt load. There's uncertainty about the corporation. Surprised with the narrow trading range. Likes that they got rid of the dividend.
DON'T BUY
Still has some difficulties. Prefers companies that have very good earnings/sales growth.
DON'T BUY
Basically this is just a call option on the C series regional jet. Doesn't know if that jet will be made or profitable.
TOP PICK
The airplane manufacturing is something for the future, so taking it out of the equation you still have transportation and they will surprise us on the plus side with improved operating margins. Good contract today with China. On the aerospace side, they still have the business jet. At the current price, it is an attractive stock. Management is buying stock.
HOLD
Continuing to make changes and modifications, pretty much selling off the Bombardier capital which has been a problem for the company for a number of years. The rail side seems alright. The big question is building this 100 seat aircraft and maybe the reality is that they don't have much of a chance. Have a new aircraft plant and does make sense to manufacture the plane there. If you hold, consider averaging down.
DON'T BUY
Lots of problems. If you want to play this one, play it through the preferreds and the bonds. It gives you a nice yield and the government isn't going to let it go bankrupt.
SELL
Getting some contracts, but if you are going to own this for a long term you've got to look at is whether this is a good business. Fully valued.
