HOLD
Took a big drop because the stock was too expensive. It is now back roughly to fair value. A high quality company.
DON'T BUY
Made a huge move from $100 to $140 and now is having to back off. Profit taking has set in and doesn't know where the support is going to be.
DON'T BUY
Got to the highest valuation that it has got to in at least 30 years. About 4.5 X book value. Fair market value based on earnings is still excellent, but the breakdown doesn't look very good. Could potentially fall to $76.
DON'T BUY
There's a seasonality to fergtilizer companies. Would like to see some stabilization before going back into the stock.
DON'T BUY
Saw a breakdown on a technical trend line a few weeks ago. The 200 day moving average is coming up right around the curent price level. Looking for some support to come into this area here. Short term, most of the damage has been done.
DON'T BUY
Valuation doesn't leave much room for error at 20 X the highest earnings that the business has ever achieved. Better choices of investment elsewhere.
DON'T BUY
There have been some recent announcements that potash production is being increased substantially in Russia and other parts of the world. This is the reason for the sell off. Trading at 20 X , so it's not cheap.
DON'T BUY
Fertilizer stocks have moved up quite nicely, but feels they are fairly fully valued right now.
DON'T BUY
Expensive here. Trading at fairly high multiples for a cyclical company. Well run and diversified.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Jun 8/05. Up 17%.) Liked it because he liked the whole commodity sector. The big thing the Chinese will be buying apart from coal, steel and oil is fertilizer. Still likes.
BUY
Missed this one as well as Agrium (AGU-T), partly because of concerns on gas prices. International demand has increased as Chinese/Indian farmers are now able to afford these fertilizers. Expect there will be some pretty good earnings here.
BUY
Potash is a big strength in our market. Lots of demand from overseas buyers. Should continue to do very well.
DON'T BUY
Has had a tremendous run. Has concerns because she thinks there's going to be some weakness in the price of nitrogen.
TRADE
Would be really surprised if they don't split it. Has run a lot in the last little while.
WEAK BUY
Has had a tremendous move in the past year. Potash prices are remaining strong. Pretty good earnings picture. At a reasonable valuation. Doesn't see big upside in the short term.
