TSE:POT

PotashCorp (POT.TO)

BUY
Likes this company but prefers Agrium (AGU-T). Fertilizer industry is a good place to be with the emphasis on global expansion and the rise of consumers in developing countries.
SELL
If you are trading on a short-term basis, consider taking your profits here. It had a great little run. You'll probably be able to buy this later in the summer, September/October, at about the same price. Long-term it looks pretty good.
BUY
Great time to buy this. From around the end of June right through until the end of December, fertilizer stocks perform very well. Last year it went through to the middle of January.
BUY
Think they will expand their business. Basic economics of potash is that it costs a whole lot of money to drill a shaft down, but once you have it, you can expand. Likes up at around $50 or less and it should be good over the next 12 months and up into the $60's. Try to buy on dips.
BUY
Likes the agricultural and fertilizer space. With the shortage in grains and food, we will see strong potash prices going forward. BHP Billiton (BHP-N) will take 2-3 years to develop their Saskatchewan project.
BUY
The stock price will be higher because the demand for agricultural products is going to grow. As farmers get wealthier, they will be able to afford more potash, which is the most efficient fertilizer. Blowing the doors off in terms of its earnings, in spite of the wet season.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick June 17/10. Up 50.16%.) Likes agriculture. There is a tightening supply of crops, etc. Demand continues to grow globally. This should be a core holding.
BUY
Likes agriculture as a group as when emerging markets evolve, there will be more protein-based diets so there will be increased demands for grains and feeds. Fertilizer stocks have pulled back along with the general market so this is a good price entry for long-term investors.
COMMENT
Fertilizer prices are generally increasing. There is a view that demand will continue to grow and this company has been the beneficiary of that over the years. The potash/phosphate market can be very volatile. Worldwide demand should continue to increase over time but there are many suppliers globally. He prefers Agrium (AGU-T) which also has nitrogen and a retail operation. Has never looked cheap to him.
BUY
Bullish on the entire agro sector. World food supplies are getting drawn down. Prefers this a little more than Agrium (AGU-T).
BUY
Fertilizers are the only way to get more food out of the land. Agriculture will be a great investment over the next couple of years.
DON'T BUY
Challenged by being a big dollar stock. Potash is essential to the world. Action is probably with other potash companies that will probably be taken out.
WAIT
Long term hold? This is a global growth story and there is more consumption of specialty foods but this is not the best time to be in it. This is a seasonal play and would wait until late July and into August. There is no rush.
BUY
Corrected down to the 200 day moving average and is in a perfect buying opportunity. Trend is higher.
TOP PICK
Sold June $52.50 Calls for $1.96 on May 23 when stock was $52.28. This stock is one of the best writers out there and he makes close to 4% a month on it.
