BUY ON WEAKNESS
Earnings are expected to swing positive from a loss in 2005. That gives it a 69 PE which is pretty steep. Have a digital microphone that they are testing with Nokia which could offer substantial opportunity. Would buy at $4.50.
DON'T BUY
Has been a pretty decent performer over last year or so. The question is can the tech sector continue strong. Any sign of weakness, you should get out.
DON'T BUY
Had a nice pop because its peers were doing well. Had no earnings and analysts are not forecasting bullish earnings.
TOP PICK
Has lagged. A turnaround story. Breaking even and there's a lot of growth in front of them.
WAIT
Ranks in the bottom 10% of the database. Earnings are slightly up, but sales are down about 16%. Maybe working on some very interesting technology over the next 90 days. Very speculative.
WEAK BUY
Target price of around $8. Coming off a downward sloping trend. Could make some money
DON'T BUY
Fundamentally, grossly overpriced. No longer has a healthy cash balance.
DON'T BUY
Has taken a lot of risk on older generation Telcom spending. Have missed their numbers. Prefers others.
BUY
Will be a late performer in the tech sector. Will probably start to make earnings late 2004. Good management team.
HOLD
There has been a fairly good run on the tech side and would be reluctant to add at this time.
DON'T BUY
A bit of a troubled company. They are trying to transition from one product group to another. Would like to see more visible growth before being interested.
SELL
The semiconductor sector had a huge rally from March through October and then seemed to run out of gas. This company did not benefit from the rally. Now feels there is weakness in the sector.
BUY
Likes semiconductor stocks. The stock has a very nice bottom developing. This is a higher risk but it looks like it could bounce significantly.
TOP PICK
(A top pick Sept 22/03. Down 46%.) Still thinks the semiconductor market is going to recover.
DON'T BUY
Continuing to reduce their overall costs, but their product is old style for telecommunications. Sales are shrinking. Ranks in the bottom third of the database.
