Stockchase Opinions

Robert McWhirter Nortel AS NTEL-T WEAK BUY Jul 21, 2005

Ranks poorly in his model at 580 out of 700. If the stock can get above $3.45 then the game is back on. Earnings report is due soon and the question is, can they hit their earnings estimates of $0.08. Of more interest is earnings for '06 where the forcast is $0.22 which would give you a 15 P/E against 67% earnings growth. Could be a trading opportunity if techs move up.

DON'T BUY
There is no fundamental reason to own this stock. Just a gamble.
DON'T BUY
Very sad story. Almost gone. Wouldn't touch it.
DON'T BUY
Speculative. Have a number of challenges coming out of bankruptcy.
SELL
(Market Call Minute.) Take your few pennies off the table.
DON'T BUY
If you own the stock, you are playing that there is some value in the assets they own. The company is not a going concern. Have a huge deficit hole in their pension plan. Individual parts of the company may be better being sold off.
DON'T BUY
In the end game, it is going to be worth next to nothing.
DON'T BUY
Doesn't see any reason to buy a stock that is approaching chapter 11. This is like going to the casino. Pure speculation.
SELL
You can do a lot better in any other communications equipment provider in the world. They are struggling.
DON'T BUY
(Market Call Minute.) Not attractive at all.
COMMENT
Has been delisted on the TSX but is still trading in the US. In bankruptcy proceedings shareholders usually end up with nothing.
