WEAK BUY
Not one of the better looking charts. It may have some sort of a bottom here and is trying to break out. Because it is a larger gold cap, institutions may be forced to buy it. Not one of his favourite picks, but thinks it will go higher.
COMMENT
Short term, it is in a bit of a trading range. Would be concerned if it fell through the $23/25 level. A lot of the golds might be stuck in a band here yet.
WEAK BUY
Not the favourite that it once was. Prefers Kinross (K-T).
BUY
Likes gold in general but is a little concerned with the upward bounce in the US but expects this will reverse.
BUY
Thinks gold is going to appreciate in the longer run. Tied in with both the oil cycle and the US dollar.
BUY
Bullish on where gold is going in the next year or two. A good company.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Jan 23/06. Up 11.7%.) Still adding to it at lower prices. Felt they had paid a lot for Glamis.
TOP PICK
This is now the senior gold company globally that has low cost structure and a great growth profile. Their mine in Red Lake is the single best mine on the planet.
TOP PICK
After acquiring Glamis, they are now one of the top 5 gold companies in the world and by far has the best growth profile.
DON'T BUY
Was a big fan of them until they announced their most recent acquisition, which was highly dilutive to shareholders.
BUY
Has some very interesting assets. Very low cost producer. New management has shifted focus to more of an acquirer of assets that created some dissensions with some investors resulting in a drop in the stock price giving an opportunity to Buy.
DON'T BUY
Exceptionally strong management. You have to be a strong believer that base metal prices are going to remain exceptionally strong.
DON'T BUY
One of the more expensive golds in the sector. Will come under some short term pressure. The Glamis acquisition was good. Will be a real “go to” name in the sector. Although gold bullion will go higher, doesn’t think share prices will mirror this. Would go for a gold E.T.F. rather than a gold company.
BUY
The acquisition of Glamis was a bit expensive, but the fall off in the share price more than reflected that. Got a really good operating team and some good properties.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Dec 30/05. Up 32.7%.) Was unhappy with their acquisition of Glamis, but on a long term basis it’s a good deal.
