CONNACHER OIL AND GAS LIMITED (CLC.TO)

BUY
The question is, can they get their labour problem off the ground, which will be a struggle for everybody. Sells at a potential discount to the barrels in the ground than most of them. Wouldn't call them a proven team. Speculative.
BUY
Has done surprisingly well and is hearing better and better things about it. Has a subsidiary in Argentina that is growing production very quickly. Also have an interesting heavy oil play in Alberta. Heavy oil.
BUY
A reasonable hold. Just got approval to proceed with the great divide project.
DON'T BUY
Got a tremendous lift out of the oil sands side but that has settled back. Still have some offshore stuff that looks interesting. Still too expensive with a heavy oil premium built into it.
COMMENT
A small oil sands play. They are sort of working their project in pods. Everything depends on the price of oil. They don't have production yet and it won't be until 2008/2009. A little bit cheap but if oil pulls back, the stock is going down.
BUY
Likes that whole oil/gas sector. North American natural gas has been whacked unmercifully. This is traditionally when the price of gas starts to go up. Big sell offs like this are good buying opportunities.
BUY
Very close to developing their oil sands assets. Have most of the paperwork required to go ahead. Should start cash flowing in the first of next year.
DON'T BUY
An oil sands play. A long-term play. More speculative than UTS (UTS-T).
DON'T BUY
Fully priced. A takeover target. Some of their international staff doesn't look too bad.
HOLD
Oil sands group got whacked last week because of cost overruns. This is the smallest in that space so is a pretty easy takeover target. Also has 31% in Petrolifera (PDP-T) in Argentina which is producing 6500 barrels a day. Won't do much onto the market is more comparable with the cost overruns.
BUY
Received approval for their oil sands project. The oil sands is a great place to be. Just had a big pullback, which is a good opportunity to buy at a good price.
BUY ON WEAKNESS
Has become an oil sands play. There are 2, 3 or 4 more pods they can produce and show growth over the next few years. We'll go up and down with the oil price. Look to buy below $4.
WEAK BUY
Has about 100 million barrels of possible production in the oil sands, which is a very small. Would prefer UTS (UTS-T). Has other interests as well.
DON'T BUY
Has some heavy oil so there is a heavy oil discount. Recently bough Luke Energy, a more gas weighted company, which the market is still trying to understand.
BUY
When exploration companies finally find assets, it takes some time before they can bring them on and really develop a cash flow. This is why there has been a pullback in the price.
