Cameco Corporation (CCO-T) is positioned as a prominent player in the uranium sector, benefiting from renewed interest in nuclear power as energy prices rise. Many experts highlight the strong demand for uranium driven by a broader shift towards clean energy and an increasing need for reliable power sources in data centers. While the stock has experienced significant appreciation over recent months, experts express concerns about its high valuation relative to earnings projections, with several suggesting a wait for a pullback before adding new positions. A consensus emerges that although the long-term outlook remains positive and CCO represents a strong player in the market, recent price gains may warrant caution for short-term investors. Overall, the combination of supply constraints and geopolitical factors supports a bullish sentiment for CCO's future performance, albeit tempered by valuation concerns.

COMMENT
She is waiting. Demand for uranium has lessened. If you have a long time frame of 10 years plus, it would be a good hold.
HOLD
Cream of crop in their business. Nuclear power is the future. Would not be selling it here. China and India are expanding nuclear like crazy. There is less uranium being produced than used. Over next few years this should provide a boost for the uranium companies. Trigger to get in would be shares below $20
BUY ON WEAKNESS
The uraniums had a little bump here in the last 2-3 weeks when China came out and said that they were not abandoning uranium. Longer term, you would have to think that with uranium prices going sideways, $20-$21 would be a good entry point.
DON'T BUY
Doesn't own any uranium stocks. Doesn't see huge capacity for nuclear energy coming on anytime soon. Commodities are the most cyclical and volatile of stocks.
BUY
Got creamed after the tsunami in Japan. A lot of people thought that nobody was ever going to build another nuclear reactor or buy uranium. Existing nuclear plants have to be fuelled and he believes a lot of nuclear reactors will be built in the next 10-20 years. He is long-term bullish on this company.
DON'T BUY
Reached its old 2009 low last year but has now violated the downward trend. The big question is, how far will it go. The whole uranium sector was upgraded by a few institutions and a lot of money ran into it. Daily charts would indicate it has been very much overbought.
DON'T BUY
Sold after tsunami on Japan. One has to have a good view on uranium, which he does not have yet. He would not play Uranium right now and would play Uranium participation units if he did.
WAIT
Has been a good start to the year. Everything that didn’t work last year is working this year. Getting more bullish on Uranium. CCO is licking its wounds a bit. It will be interesting to see how they refocus.
DON'T BUY
Feels the management needs to be more heads up. On a longer term basis the demand is there and they will do ok. He has tended to stand back from this one, though.
BUY
Looks clear that uranium stocks have bottomed out and have turned up. Now is as good a time as any to buy them.
BUY
Uranium prices have pretty much flat lined since the Japanese disaster. Doesn't see any alternative for energy in future and expects to see a lot more reactors. This is a great company with huge reserves, terrific balance sheet and trading at a ridiculous multiple.
WAIT
The farther we get away from the Japan situation, the more Uranium looks like it might be the energy source, so we wait to see it start to move up.
DON'T BUY
They have increased their dividend, but he questions the production growth in that company. They had a lot of flooding problems and not sure that is over with.
PAST TOP PICK
(Top Pick Dec 31/10, Down 51.32%) Thought Japanese events would affect Uranium in a permanent way. Got out a few days after the disaster
HOLD
(Market Call Minute.) Making progress on Cigar Lake, but uranium prices are not cooperating. A Hold at best.
