SELL
Stock has been in a huge downtrend from early 2010. There is an attempt at a database now but thinks this will be more of a dead cat bounce than anything.
DON'T BUY
Reserves were marked down but also they had some difficulties with governments and the acquisitive nature of governments. Until the dust settles, he would stay away.
SELL
Doesn’t know company’s financials so he would say that it is a goodtime of year to sell for tax reasons, at least for 30 days.
HOLD
(Market Call Minute.) There are some really complicated issues in this one.
DON'T BUY
Have some pretty substantial reserves off the coast of India and were accused of paying money to foreign officials for granting of licenses, etc and there is concern that some of those licenses may be at risk.
COMMENT
(Market Call Minute.) Cautious on this one. A Hold at best.
DON'T BUY
Its original attraction was offshore drilling in India, and then Bangladesh. One of the governments has forced them to relinquish some holdings offshore India.
SELL
He has this one as an underperform with a $35 target. They are redoing their reserves and there are too many technical issues that have to get sorted out.
DON'T BUY
Well know as being one of the more exciting energy stocks. You are far better served by a company with a variety of stable operations, strong balance sheet and rising cash flows. Prefers oil and gas royalty trusts.
TOP PICK
Has been beaten up because of problems in India. Those problems are still there in terms of getting a higher price and getting production going. Now starting to drill in Indonesia and in Trinidad. Have 6 high impact plays that are going to be drilled, 4 in Indonesia and 2 in Trinidad, before March 31st year end for them. $75 target.
HOLD
It has come off a lot. Nat Gas producer off shore India and Bangladesh. He would hold it here while you see problems being solved and until Nat Gas turns.
HOLD
Doesn't see any real catalysts until the end of the year when some more production is supposed to start. D6, their offshore block in India, is showing higher declines and lower production than expected.
WAIT
(Market Call Minute.) Neutral on this one. Has a $65 target. There are a couple of positive catalysts coming down the pipeline.
COMMENT
Was a great winner years back when it became a 10% player in Reliance of India’s offshore fields. Has expanded into Indonesia. Executives pay themselves brilliantly. A bit of an awkward one for him.
COMMENT
Claim to fame was their oil play in India. Diversified into a big exploration portfolio in Indonesia and Kurdistan. If they hit something, it could bring a lot of upside to them. Looking at this one very closely.
