BUY
Cybersecurity demand never goes away, especially with the Russian threat. These stocks are rebounding after tech was slammed. Last Thursday, CRWD again beat their numbers top and bottom line with sales up 61% YOY. Managers also delivered terrific guidance this quarter and raised their full-year forecast. But shares still tumbled on Friday which is an insane response. Today, they rebounded over 4% today.
BUY
Shares are jumping after hours after their report It fell far from its all-time high some months ago. But earnings were really good: beat EPS by 50% and guided higher for this fiscal year. At 20x revenue it is expensive, but all these stocks are. This upside move will continue.
BUY
Shares are jumping after hours after their report He likes it. Cybersecurity is on the top of everyone's minds, especially given the Russian war. Despite a bloated PE, CRWD is pivoting from non-profitable to profitable operations by 2022.
BUY
The enterprise environment (for cybersecurity) is great, even better than pre-Russia/Ukraine, and shares have traded back to those levels.
BUY
You can play it long into earnings that'll be announced tomorrow.
HOLD
Nov. 10 was their record high to cap a record year. It got caught up in the rotation out of high-growth into cyclicals. But he's not worried. He stays long--cybersecurity remains a top concern facing the world. Holding on.
TOP PICK
Cybersecurity. Provides cloud-delivered solutions for endpoint and cloud-workload protection. In the perfect place. Second only to MSFT for cybersecurity execution. Nice pullback. 12-month price target of $315. No dividend. (Analysts’ price target is $290.07)
BUY ON WEAKNESS
He has been in and out of this many times this year. He's buying now. He's traded this well. Most of the correction here is due to long-duration assets selling, and this should be done. Cybersecrity matters now. He's happy to step in now around $200 and restart his position--and he did.
PARTIAL BUY
Cybersecurity. Pretty volatile. You could buy it in here at $230, add to it at 220, 210. When it gets to $270-300, write some calls, because it's pretty good protection. Price target of $315. His research tells him that this is one of the most visionary vendors, second only to MSFT in its ability to execute.
BUY
CRWD vs. PANW He owns CHKP instead. It's a bit cheaper and has a suite of new products that will accelerate their revenue growth. Cybersecurity is a very strong growth area that you have to be in. People working outside the office creates a lot of issues. Owning any of them will benefit you.
COMMENT
It's priced to more than perfection. It's really expensive. It topped at $265ish in mid-July. It's a valuation call. All these cyber stocks are in play; the story isn't over, but rather the valuation got caught on the back of this quarter.
BUY
Last week they reported a fine quarter and he expected shares to spike. It didn't. Yes, there's a rotation favouring reopenings, but this is ridiculous. Cybersecurity is now a huge issue. We've seen ransomware attacks on Colonial Pipeline, for example. CRWD reported strong top- and bottom-line beats last quarter with 74% annual recurring revenue growth and they raised their full-year forecast. This industry is amazing.
BUY
It's been on fire during the pandemic and is coming out of it with a good business plan and a growing market.
COMMENT
Major ransomware attack on meat plants by Russia is the latest of several against the U.S. They have a pipeline and backlog of projects. Recent numbers showed 81% revenue growth, with revenues above $1 billion. On the enterprise side, there's room to sell more cybersecurity. These cybersecurity stocks are expensive, and they have not gone up. Year to date, we've had several cyber attacks (i.e. pipeline), but these stocks have gone nowhere.
BUY ON WEAKNESS
An essential 5G play They offer cybersecurity, so they will benefit from protecting 5G networks and phones. Up 264% in the past year, but has pulled back recently, so it's a buying opportunity.
