PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick May 10/18, Down 61%) He got stopped out, but he is watching it now. They still have a bright future.
DON'T BUY
They are a bus manufacturer. It ran too far too fast. This has been a tough space. He doesn't see a lot of reason to own this. He prefers NFI Group. BUS is not a bad company, just doesn't see a lot of reason to own it.
COMMENT
Sold half for tax loss, and because orders have been slow coming in. Now it's a wait and see. Thinks the orders will come in. May have to partner with someone. Compete with New Flyer. Great product, great business model. More of a struggle to penetrate the market than they thought.
WATCH
We have infrastructure plays going on. But there is a long term downtrend and it does not want to get through the $1 to $1.20 level. If it did, it would be a new trend. (Analysts’ price target is $1.77)
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Jan 24/18, Down 67%) They had a challenging year, but he still believes in them. It took them longer than expected to get US certification. The tariffs with China, hurt them as well. They just signed a contract in the US, which could be the tide change. Buyers lover their buses and will take some more time to prove it to the market. He got stopped out at a higher price, but is watching it.
WATCH
He bought it last year but is under water. The company got the "Buy America" certification. He is disappointed with the order intake. It could be delays in setting up shop in the US. The frame of the bus is made in China and trade tensions/tariffs may be a factor. You should see good orders come in soon.
HOLD
Is this stock done? He has had it as a past top pick. It has had a difficult year as business has not developed as fast as expected. He is not concerned about this. There have not been big orders out of the US yet, but he is seeing progress. As small orders come in, he expects to see the orders come in with size -- perhaps the second-half of 2019.
BUY
It is a new position he put on this year. New orders took a lot longer to gather for this company. He thinks they have a winning bus that will meet the right-sizing of transit in the US. He thinks it will be much better next year. They are suffering from tax-loss selling.
DON'T BUY

A company that probably went ahead of themselves in terms of investors expectations. The space has been beaten up a lot lately. He prefers NFI Group Inc. (NFI-T) much better in the space that hasn't traded this cheap in the last 5 years. (Analysts’ price target is $1.77)

WAIT
They came out of nowhere and won some big contracts. After a slump in orders some just came in. There is a much larger company in the space that has recently disappointed investors in terms of share price. It will weight down this one. Don’t step in now. Wait till the new year and take another look.
WAIT
He held this in the past. It looks dangerous. He would wait for it to get down to the $1.35 level. It is almost micro cap and these companies can run into problems. Use the 100 day moving average. (Analysts’ price target is $2)
DON'T BUY
The stock has been trending down since 2017. He would like to see some consolidation. It has not started to show evidence of a complex bottom. (Analysts’ price target is $2.03)
TOP PICK

The orders have been slow to come in but they came out with results that were better than expected. He thinks you will really see the orders come in in the next couple of months. (Analysts’ target: $2.03).

COMMENT

BUS vs. GPV. Swapped out of BUS for GPV. There’s a lot of money flowing into this space. Some of the emissions scandal money is going to school boards to buy busses. Chart tells him that there’s no rush to get back in. GPV has more upside in the short term. GPV is volatile, but has done well. Also a great management team, who have put a lot of their own money in. Anticipates announcements on GPV’s order book.

HOLD

This has been a bit of a disappointment for them as it has taken longer than expected to ramp up the activity in the US. He would continue to hold it. This will trade on contract announcements and they recently announced a winner in Georgia.
