Uranium One Inc. (UUU.TO)

TOP PICK
The world's most successful uranium company. Russian controlled and have put some extra mines into it. The only global uranium company that managed to meet its targets last year. Great performance profile in the future.
DON'T BUY
He sold it in ’06. Don’t be afraid to pay for quality and for a tier 1 asset. Financing is going to become increasingly hard for them to come by.
COMMENT
Uranium is a really small market and there are only a handful of companies. This one would be a much higher quality one. Very well run. Is in exotic places so when liquidity gets sucked out of the market this does not participate in the market, no matter how much money it is making. Trading at about 10X earnings and is at an okay price.
DON'T BUY
This is controlled by Kazakhstanis now, which is a relative market against it. Expect it will continue to lag.
PAST TOP PICK
(Top Pick July 29/10, Up 43.05%) You wonder when the next accident is going to occur. He’s not selling it.
COMMENT
Chart is not very helpful on this one. 50 day has dropped way down and 200 day it is turning down. Probably a good risk/reward but he would look at the bigger names such as Cameco (CCO-T).
DON'T BUY
Feels the future for all uranium stocks is incredibly bleak. For a new nuclear project to go forward, realistically you need one senior level politician and a few senior civil servants to champion it. Can’t see this happening. This is not a low cost producer.
SELL
Don’t heavily invest in a risky area. It has not receovered. It is still going down. We are below support levels. This is a sell and if you insist on holding it, please reduce holdings.
WAIT
This one would more likely be the acquirer than the acquiree. Believes nuclear will continue. Prefers U-T. Be prepared to wait 6 months.
DON'T BUY
Tricky as uranium doesn’t act like the other metals regarding supply/demand as there is a large political element involved. Since the Japanese incident there has been a severe retracement in uranium stocks. This could cause it to roll out slower than people had anticipated.
DON'T BUY
DON'T BUY
It’s a general call on uranium as a sector. Disaster in Japan will have negative near term implications for the sector. She would not buy into the sector right now.
DON'T BUY
Highly leveraged to uranium prices. He prefers the more established and more profitable players such as Cameco (CCO-T). He would hold fire until the nuclear situation in Japan clarifies itself. As long as the news flow is as negative as it has been, it will be difficult for projects to continue to go ahead.
WAIT
Perfectly good company and could be a way to play a recovery in the industry. He is looking at it.
BUY
Very high growth rate and very high leverage to uranium. One of the lowest production costs in the industry at about $20 a lb. 51% owned by a Russian company, which can open a lot of doors when working in Kazakhstan. Just moved into West Africa, which has conventional production, which is not their forte so would like to see how they develop this.
