DON'T BUY
Has been underperforming recently. Has some concern about the metal stocks.
BUY
Has massive copper deposits. Has just identified large amounts of coal. Stock is acting well.
HOLD
Had a long series of elevated bases from '00 to '03 which is a bullish sign. Then hit a spike, then 3 drops and trying to make a series of higher highs. Odds are against reaching that high of the spike again. Now trending higher, so it's OK.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Sept 22/04. Up 35%.) Huge copper asset.
DON'T BUY
An interesting story. Attractive set of commodities in copper/gold in Mongolia. Problem is, they need a lot of infrastructure to put the mine in production and also need a deal with someone who knows about mining. Near term, not much is happening.
DON'T BUY
Have something substantial in Mongolia. A big potential ore body. Prefers others with more leverage to a pure gold play.
WEAK BUY
Still not in production (Mongolia). Looking at a copper/gold project. Drill results have been outstanding. A little cocerned on their location.
BUY ON WEAKNESS
Has broken its downtrend lines. Could possibly go higher with the price of gold.
DON'T BUY
Too much political risk involved in Mongolia. Buy something in Canada instead.
DON'T BUY
Mongolia assets will be a pretty expensive operation to run. Needs a partner. Will take a while.
TOP PICK
Enormous deposit.
DON'T BUY
Would not invest in a mine in Mongolia.
WEAK BUY
Huge deposit in Mongolia. Company is looking for a new partner. Will find it because the company has a good relationship with China and Mongolia.
DON'T BUY
Not a fan of Robert Friedland but this is starting to get down to a level where it could be looked at. Expects a little bit more downside. Will be tough to strongly rally higher.
DON'T BUY
There is a question as to whether they are going to make a deal with a partner to raise $150 million. It depends on a buyer's view on base metals. Would prefer a company that is already producing. Speculative.
