It's the ideal tool to help you make quicker, more informed decisions for managing and tracking your investments.

DON'T BUY
Substantial oil sands leases. Yet to have been proven their new processes can work. Too risky as an investment.
SELL
A roller coaster. The way to look at this is that what is driving it is the possibility that it may get taken out. There is nothing to hang you hat on in terms of cash flow.
SELL
Oil sands junior, which is very difficult. Also there is no known technology today that can be used to extract oil in their location. SAG won't work. Can't see it as a takeover target.
DON'T BUY
Continually need to raise money to expand and delineate their properties so there is a lot of anguish ahead. In a good oil market it can definitely see $2 again. Very early stage oil sands development.
HOLD
(Market Call Minute.) Doesn't see a catalyst. You have to see substantially higher oil prices.
DON'T BUY
Holdings are off to one side of the normal oil sands operations. Vast territory. Very long-term promotion. It's not the price, it's the concept i.e. does it become an operating entity in the long run.
DON'T BUY
Sold his holdings because it is in the mining business (mining for oil) and will have to ultimately build an extraction plant, which will take a lot of money.. Great land position. Too much risk for him.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Jan 8/08. Down 81%.) Large geographic position. A play on commodity and if oil goes higher this name will take off. Technological risks as well as a development play so there is no real cash flow. Staying with it another year.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Dec 12/07. Down 86%.) Oil sands. Carried down heavily with all oil/gas companies. Very long-term development plans. Needs a great improvement in the sector.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Dec 12/07. Down 80%.) Pretty gung ho in terms of their deposit in the oil sands on the Alberta border of Saskatchewan. Very long-term plan of becoming producers. Appear to have a very good asset. Not a Buy.
SELL
(Market Call Minute.) In need of big capital.
COMMENT
This one will get taken out because they have too much Saskatchewan tar sands holdings beside the Suncor (SU-T) properties. Have done about 15% exploration and qualified about 1 billion barrels of bitumen.
BUY
Given time and money, this company will produce oil. Many years from production.
SELL
(Market Call Minute.) In the oil sands and doesn’t have as good leases as some of the others.
BUY
A big leader in Saskatchewan. What is happening in Alberta has extended into Saskatchewan. Large land base. Dealing with some technical challenges such as no cap to close the reservoir that is needed when you insert steam. It is doable and you do want exposure to these technology plays.
