ATI Technologies (ATY.TO)

BUY
Technically it looks good. In a trading range with the upper band at $21/22. If they can break out of that at decent volume, it could go quite a ways.
HOLD
One of main holdings in tech sector. Still like, would recommend.
WEAK BUY
Own, and like the stock. Going to go higher. Sweet spot in cycle.
BUY
Doing a good job gaining market share against Nvidia. Working well with Intel to come up with new products.
DON'T BUY
It probably has gone as far as it's going to go in the interim. Doesn't see anything big or revolutionary coming along.
DON'T BUY
Great company, but pretty expensive. Terrific products. Concerned that PC sales are pretty much mature.
WAIT
As a conservative investor, he has to wait until the Ontario securities commission allegations are cleared up.
BUY
Performing very well relative to the Canadian/US semiconductor companies. They are dominant in the laptop and cell phones.
HOLD
FMV $28. Has a little room to grow.
DON'T BUY
Trades at about 30 X earnings. Has done a good job in taking market share away from Nvidia, but is dependent on PCs which is not a high-growth market. Also has some OSC hearings coming up in March regarding insider trading.
BUY
Play this against Nvidia being long one and short the other. Gross margins are expanding. Net income and revenues were both up. Investigation by the securities commission has been holding them back.
BUY
Should trade higher over a year's time.
BUY
Very cyclical. Management is a bit of an issue. In a good position fundamentally. Prefers over Nvidia. Margins have increased. Dominate the laptop market and moving forward into the graphics market. Expects upside by the end of 2004.
DON'T BUY
Trading at fair value. Quite cyclical, near the top of the cycle. fully priced
DON'T BUY
Has had a tremendous run. Dominant in their marketplace. The cloud overhanging this company is what will happen with senior management regarding the Ontario Securities Commission investigation on improper trading allegations.
