COMMENT
One of the companies that will perform best amongst the producers. Getting their debt paid down.
COMMENT
GoldCorp (G-T) or Barrick (ABX-T)? Barrick is cheaper on a historical valuation basis but got hit on Australia’s plan to impose 40% on profits. 17% of its revenue is from Australia. He is looking for 30% growth in cash flow over the next 3 years.

VIX. A Volatility index. We met a low in March. It’s one of the best indicators of when to buy. Now it is going up because of the sovereign debt issue. Selling options is selling volatility. Earnings have been absolutely fabulous. We are in an earnings recovery. It’s very bullish.

Everything is working. iPhone, iTablet, iPod and their computer market share is increasing. This is the bellwether stock in the market.
TOP PICK
Hasn’t done much since the ‘90s. On the cusp of a huge earnings explosion. Windows 7. XP was a bust. No upgrade in software in 10 years. Their new search engine is the first as good as Google. They now have a smart phone offering. It was a sleeper. It’s getting ready to ‘hockey stick’ its earnings.
TOP PICK
Long Gold Corp GG-N and Short $39 May calls. Take $1.35 for the month. You are harvesting 3.5% a month or 40% a year. If gold stocks stay where they are or go higher you make 40% a year..
HOLD
It is in two businesses – copper and coal. Prices for both have been rising very significantly. The trend is still in place. The current correction is no different that in February. It is currently a very strong buying opportunity.
HOLD
Doesn’t like it. He is an earnings guy. You want to see an increase in earnings. It’s a value investment. Right now they just don’t have the earnings but if you hold it long enough it will go up.
DON'T BUY
It’s a favorite of his to write options against. Their earnings were ok but they did not guide up significantly. The grain harvest was strong so Potash falls.
DON'T BUY
Have a ton of competition from Apple. He prefers Apple. Is good for writing options on. He recommends writing covered call options instead of owning RIM outright.
BUY
Just had a fine quarter.
HOLD
It’s a commodity company and was going up because of prices of the commodity and is correcting just because we are having a correction.
