DON'T BUY
Missed on picking it for a recovery. Still somewhat reluctant to go into the name. The balance sheet is now in order and has some cash. Doesn't see them growing their bottom-line significantly.
DON'T BUY
Has been a perfect performer along with me whole resource sector. Prefers purer plays, such as Alcan. Has some ownership and balance sheet issues.
DON'T BUY
BUY
Commodity prices are improving. Should perform well in 2004.
DON'T BUY
Have had some problems, but have now got themselves on solid ground. Hasn't had much exciting in discoveries.
DON'T BUY
A good company. Has done a lot in pulling its act together. Fully valued.
BUY ON WEAKNESS
The short-term charts on metal prices and metal stocks are all ahead of themselves. A good hold for the long-term. Would look for a pullback to $19 before buying more.
TOP PICK
A global leader in their sector. Good margins. Good acquisitions. Continuing to grow. Looking for above $2 in earnings.
DON'T BUY
Molson is trading at about 4 times book value. Fair market value is higher than current price.
PAST TOP PICK
(A past top pick Nov 5/03. Up 3.7%.) A turnaround situation with management. Interesting properties. Good management. Had hoped it would develop faster.
BUY ON WEAKNESS
A well-run auto-parts company. Safer than buying auto companies. Wait for some bad news on auto sales which will drop the stock.
PAST TOP PICK
(A past top pick Nov 6/03. Up 1.1%.) Brazil gives them growth. It should do fine towing forward.
BUY
A well-run company. The marketshare in each new truck and car. Not a bad place to be.
