A very good company to hold. 3rd quarter showed a little bit of struggle and did not meet street's expectation. A very well managed company. Very inexpensive. Trading at around a 9 multiple versus a larger cap at 13.8/14.

TOP PICK

With the government's stake finally being placed out it is more interesting. Although most forcasts for oil are $37/38 and $27/28 the year after while futurists estimates are for $45 for the next 12 months. Probably the best of the integrateds.

BUY

Talisman and Petro-Canada both look interesting in the oils. Also likes the trusts because they pay while being held.

Looks a little undervalued right now, given its long term potential. They don't do much work on oil stocks.

(A Past Top pick Sept 28/04. Up 1%.) A great way to play the CDn petroleum sector. Also has good international exposure. Sells at a discount to all other multi national oil companies.

Feels it hasn't gotten its due. 3rd quarter wasn't great. Very inexpensive relative to its peers. On a forward earnings per share basis, it trades at a 9.3 versus 14.

Strong balance sheet with strong cash flow and strong growth. Has good international exposure.

Terra Nova oil spill was not a huge amount, so stock didn't take a big drop. Well managed.
