Bill Belovay Noront Resources Ltd. NOT-X DON'T BUY Mar 13, 2008

A dilemma for him. Has a very hefty market capitalization, which is a concern. Have a discovery but don't have an N33101 so he doesn't know the size of it so it is purely speculation now. Location is totally infrastructurally challenged with a bog land. Geologically in a very interesting area with potential of a very large nickel type deposit. Neighbouring titleholders’ market capitalization is just a fraction of this one’s.

COMMENT

This is going to take a while for their operations which are in the ring of fire (northern Ontario and James Bay areas). The one positive is that Cliffs Natural Resources (CLF-N) got into the space through Spider (?) and had a lot of ambition in terms of building this new area out, as well as with the Ontario government. Things seem to have stalled.

COMMENT

Has been around a long time. Got new management a couple of years ago. He would call this a “stranded” project. Anybody who follows the Ring of Fire and the great promise that is there knows there are a lot of words, but not much action.

TOP PICK

He has been in it for a long time. It is the only minable deposit of chromite in North America.

WATCH

The ring of fire will be years in the making. Certainly they do have a lot of potential. When you can buy a potential future asset that could be worth mega millions for $20 million, well that’s what Benj likes to do. They won’t have earnings right away and people will jump at it. He doesn’t not buy into companies without revenues.

PAST TOP PICK

(Top Pick Mar 24/15, Down 25.77%) Huge, high quality resources. Some day the government is going to finance it. He is going to continue to hold.

COMMENT

Potential nickel and chromium in Northern Ontario. Chromium is a lesser metal in a really small market. The oil market is enormous, copper market is huge, and once you start getting into these other things, it can become obscure really quickly. This one is really all about infrastructure, and it all makes sense, but nothing seems to be happening.

WATCH

Should it be an east/west or north/south way. The government is slow in putting in the infrastructure. He does not know when. Cliff Resources walked away from it.

DON'T BUY

They made a chromium discovery, but first nations’ opposition to development forced them to give up. The nickel price is still kind of weak and they are still trying to overcome the opposition. The warm winter this year has made exploration difficult in this area. Longer term, a chromium mine here would serve all of North America.

COMMENT
Great management team and good geological potential. Ontario taxpayers will subsidize the company by building a road to the Ring of Fire--finally after 20 years. A deal has been struck between NOT-X and the indigenous people up there. NOT has done a great job up there.
DON'T BUY
They've been around for a while and own a lot of the Ring of Fire's nickel deposits. Ontario was supposed to open infrastructure so these deposits would get mined. It's a government and infrastructure play. But NOT has a lot of debt, with no cash flow. Government involvement can work out long-term.
