Doesn’t own this any more. A great company. All of a sudden it has started to move back up on his screens and he may start to invest in it again. Would rate this as a Buy, and his sense is that the stock is due for a bit of a break out. It is starting to look cheap in relation to its peer group. He can see it moving up to the $105 level over the next 3-6 months.
Google (GOOG-Q) purchased Skybox, who had used this company to make some of their products in the past. It was suggested that Google wanted to network a lot of these things which would almost double current production of the complete satellite industry. Thinks there is a pretty good opportunity for this company going forward.
(A Top Pick June 11/13. Up 36.86%.) Did a big acquisition a few years ago, which expanded their US presence. Have been winning more of their share in satellites this year, and as well, there is growth from emerging markets. Sometimes satellites in emerging market countries are the most economical and viable solution. Also, the US government is trying to save money, and are turning more towards commercial satellites to decrease costs. Seems to have a lot of momentum behind it, and are winning a lot more contracts than they had in the past. If you don’t own, wait for it to drop a couple of dollars before entering.
Has been going sideways and pulling back a bit. Doesn’t think there is any particular reason. Will be reporting in the next couple of weeks and the company tends to move when they report on quarters. They are trying to get contracts from some of the developing areas such as Russia that are building out their satellite presence. She still believes in the long-term picture for satellite demand globally.Has been going sideways and pulling back a bit. Doesn’t think there is any particular reason. Great management team. Has always known them to be fantastic executors but every once in a while, they have a couple of quarters in a row where they have missed execution. This past quarter, they have missed and he is looking at this as an opportunity to get back into this stock. If it got as low as $65, he would be all in it.
(Top Pick May 8/14, Up 14.54%) It is slow and steady and he really likes the backlog. The earnings growth rate is looking like it could pick up.
