Gold producer out of Saskatchewan. Been reasonably sleepy for a number of years. Over the last few years they’ve increased the resource size at Seabee and this year their Santoy deposit will allow them to increase production. Have a joint venture at another property, Amisk, which has a significant resource. Also an interesting property at Red Lake close to Goldcorp (G-T).
This has been a disappointment to date. Have a mine in Saskatchewan as well as property in the Red Lake area. At current prices, if you believe in higher gold prices, this is okay.
Junior Canadian gold producer. Probably will not trade with the price of gold. Have their Seabee mine in Saskatchewan as well as a position in the Madsen mine in Ontario, which just had a hit and could be massive for them.
Undergoing expansion at their Seabee mine, which should ultimately derive a 30%-40% increase in their production rate. There are some concerns that if they do not execute on budget, it will put a strain on the balance sheet. He has confidence in management that they can shore this up without having to come to the equity markets. Expect there will be some decent growth over the next 12-24 months.
This has turnaround potential and is on his watch list. If it came down about a quarter, he would be far more interested in it then he is now. They seem to be in the midst of a potential turnaround. There is no question they are getting gold out of the ground.
He likes this company. Expects there will be more takeovers of companies that have mines in Canada because the cost in Cdn$ is quite beneficial when you are mining gold and silver for US$.
