Big fan. One-stop diversified infrastructure play. Big growth driver is data -- cell towers, fibre, data centres -- now ~36% of FFO, but growing at a faster clip than other divisions. Simplifying structure, eligible for index inclusion, price may pop. 6-9% internal growth (he sees 9-12% for next couple of years). Trades at only 10x FFO.
Definitely buy at this level, looking at north of 25% total return. Increased interest rates will cause price volatility. Yield is ~5%.
There is a big Investment Summit going on in Toronto today and tomorrow. Brookfield Infrastructure will be a part of it since it is a big supplier of capital. It has already made a big investment in Western Canada and has a good international portfolio. Pays a 5% dividend. It is one of his favourite holdings and he is adding.
You get paid to wait. Steady compounder. $1.7B in new projects. Inflation-linked cashflows. AFFO growth of 11%, trades at 10.5x. Good one to own amidst all the cross-currents of markets today. A "when" story, not "if". Yield is 4.81%; very safe payout ratio of 56%.
(Analysts’ price target is $60.27)
A great long-term hold. Every pension fund needs long assets like infrastructure. Brookfield probably holds the best stable of international properties. People own this for the dividend, but these stocks have struggled this. Now is a terrific entry point for BIP.
