WAIT
TDOC vs. VEEV Have both run up a lot. Both are probably fundamentally good companies. Long-term, there are legs to this industry. But the price you pay for something does matter to your future returns. Keep an eye on it, put on your watch list, and absolutely snap it up if volatility brings prices back to normal.
BUY ON WEAKNESS
A virtual healthcare portal. A huge space during the pandemic. They are currently undergoing a merger with another telehealth company. A company at the forefront of virtual healthcare. There is large investor interest. He would start with a quarter or half position.
DON'T BUY

Look for companies that are the future. The US has the most expensive healthcare as a percentage of GDP by a long shot. They have to get a handle on this, and one way is through a phone or video format. This company is a bit too risky, because they are focused on just this issue. He prefers CVS with their distribution network.

TOP PICK
Tele-medicine. Virtual healthcare information on demand. Biggest company of its kind. In all sorts of countries. Partner with employers and insurers. Pandemic's change in consumer behaviour has accelerated their growth. No dividend. (Analysts’ price target is $231.48)
BUY
It merged with Livongo to create a company valued at $35B. Teledoc is on the physician side of the telemedicine. Livongo is more focused on chronic illness.
DON'T BUY

Great concept. Opportunities to lower cost structure of US healthcare are welcome. US healthcare is more expensive than elsewhere in the world. But you're better to invest in a new concept that is under cover of an existing business, such as CVS. A pure play like TDOC is benefitting from Covid, and the stock price might wane when it's not such front page news.

TOP PICK

Telehealth. We hate going to the doctor when all we need is an antibiotic. You can talk to a board certified physician through TDOC-N. Revenues increased by 60% as did memberships last quarter. This is the future of medicine. (Analysts’ target: $32.00).
