Restructured and got their costs down but there is some margin pressure in the business. Doesn't expect a quick turnaround.

PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Aug 01/18, Down 16%) 3.5% dividend. It has done a great job but is only trading at 9 times earnings. It is a defensive stock and he is happy to own it. There is more upside than downside.
SELL
Video games is a big industry, but guesses there's not much money in the distribution end of it.
DON'T BUY
New investor coming in trying to make changes. New game is a big risk. Risks do not out weigh rewards.
DON'T BUY
Underpriced. Problem is that it has no balance sheet. Very old plants and equipment. Very risky.
BUY
An industry that continues to consolidate. An interesting area. HIP is moving more to the publizing part of the business as opposed to the gaming side. Prefers this over Mad Catz Interactive (MCZ-T).
DON'T BUY
A broken down company. They may need to raise money, so wouldn't touch it.
WEAK BUY
Has faced some challenges. Speculative. 6.5X PE multiple. Earnings are expected to grow. Looks like pretty good upside.
SELL
A very competitive industry. It may have had its day. Will probably have a big fourth-quarter because of big sales and nice earnings and that would be the time to sell.
DON'T BUY
A long base was created through to the end of 2003 and then a big run-up towards the year end but is now in a downtrend again. Trying to make a new bottom.
WATCH
Very speculative.
DON'T BUY
In the bottom 15% of their database. Have restated earnings. Earnings estimates have dropped by about 11% over the last 90 days.
DON'T BUY
Likes the company and management. The trouble is, it's a small-cap company that has disappointed. Have to get cleaned up.
DON'T BUY
Good management. Hard for them to struggle to new heights of revenues. Not an easy business.
BUY
Controls 85% of the videogame market share in Canada. High-volume, low-margin business. Good management. Trades at 10 X next year's earnings.
