Make networking gear called “Deep Packet Inspection” and the US government declared it illegal to use on a network. This is now being worked out. Their technology is world beating. Not only used by cable ISPs but phone ISPs are starting to use it and the new hot market is the wireless ISPs. Has cash. Well run company. Good investment for 2%-3% of your portfolio.

They were a massive momentum story but missed their numbers and disappointed. Also got hit with the bear market. Trading pretty much at their cash support level. Have a huge leverage to the decline in the Cdn$. Believes the worst is over.

Did great for 9 quarters, hitting numbers out of the ballpark and then they missed numbers in one quarter and then in another. Don’t buy until this it’s fixed.

Internet traffic cop. Great company. Technology market has had some struggles in the last few months. Guided lower in December, which caught everyone by surprise. A lot of cable and DSL companies need this technology. Announced some very significant contracts on the wireless front, a new market area for them.

COMMENT

Had wanted them to continue to beat numbers and deliver on their revenues/earnings. Had a high multiple because they had always beaten but recently announced they weren’t to make their quarter so he sold all his holdings. Since then, the stock has dropped and they have announced a couple of very interesting wireless wins so he may come back into it.

TOP PICK

Deep packet inspection for communications going Internet protocol. This can be video, data or voice. They inspect every packet and know what's in there and can prioritize. If you want more high growth in some of the exciting new areas, this is a name to look at. Strong balance sheet.

BUY

They have a product that is the Internet “Cop”. Have been knocking them out of the park in terms of expectations. Very expensive. It is a candidate to be on the TSX Index tonight. The quarter there in now is a blow away quarter.

HOLD
