HOLD
Made a major gas find in China. At this point, if you have to buy an oil/gas stock, this is as good as any.
BUY
In energy, prefers Petro Canada (PCA-T) or Husky Energy (HSE-T).
BUY ON WEAKNESS
Has some tough things to do in front of it. Involved in heavy oil in Alberta and Saskatchewan. East coast has not been performing well. Good company with good assets.
HOLD
The multiples on the stock looks quite reasonable. Looks like it will be giving in to a buying range.
DON'T BUY
Feels there has been some speculation there has been some corporate activities going on. Valuation is to the high-end right now. Not that bullish on oil prices at this point.
HOLD
Good company. Has had a good run so it may be time to take some profit off the table.
TOP PICK
Likes integrated companies that have production, refining and retail outlets. This gives some downside protection. Relatively inexpensive relative to its peers. Has most of the cost relative to White Rose behind it. Lots of revenue coming. Could have a special dividend.
TOP PICK
Little bit cheaper than some of its integrated peers in Canada. It's White Rose expenses are pretty much behind it. It should produce about $1.5 billion in 2006.
TRADE
Broadly diversified company. Has paid out dividends.
TOP PICK
Switch from Imperial Oil to Husky. Husky much stronger on the profit side. Husky has done extraordinarily well. Profit levels high, growth rate high, and very well sourced.
BUY
One of the better integrateds. Multiples are still reasonable compared with some of the others.
DON'T BUY
Had a great year last year. Getting pretty close to fully valued. Has some exciting things in front of it. Also like their refinery input and heavy oil production in Alberta.
BUY
Has oil sands deposits plus explorations off the coast of China. This will be a growth company even if the price of oil goes down.
BUY
There is talk again of a potential takeover by the Chinese. If you don't have any integrated oil in your portfolio, this one is not bad from a multiple standpoint.
TOP PICK
Model price is $82. A 47% differential. Expects them to declare a special dividend.
