Latest Stock Buy or Sell? Make More Informed Decisions!

Today, Kevin Simpson and Stephanie Link, Chief investment strategist, Hightower commented about whether GPS-N, LVS-N, FCX-N, XLE-N, PLTR-Q, WMT-N, CRM-N, META-Q are stocks to buy or sell.

HOLD

One his favourite names. The consumer will trade down to them when the economy weakens, but the stock is expensive now.

TRADE

Easy to own tech names like this if you write covered calls, because of the volatility.

TRADE

Finally, the tide has turned in China (news of government stimulus this past week), so it's time to be exposed to China, which ahs been a terrible place to invest. It's a trade of at least 6 months.

BUY

She bought more. FCS is the poster child of China, of which she is suddenly bullish because of their stimulus news. Net cash costs are falling and it trades at 6.9x EBITDA vs. 9.2x 5-year average.

BUY

She bought it. They're spending a ton to renovate their casinos to end early 2025, and will regain their sinking market share. It's cheap wit the current EBITDA less than half of the 3-year average.

BUY

She added to the Gap, purely because of the CEO change, and it's taken time for him to make an impact by hiring new executives to his team, resulting in inventory control and better gross margins. Have been gaining market share for the last 6 quarters.

Strength of markets appears favorable. Rally appears to be diversified - strength in broader section of the markets - not just "Mag 7". China and commodities appear to be presenting value. Chinese economy appears to be recovering from recent weakness, and is breaking out.
