A lot of non-yielding names such as this have gone up a lot. This one has gone up some, but compared to what she thinks the valuation should be, it has a lot more to go. Had considered having this as a Top Pick. Likes the acquisitions they have made. Decreased their debt. Great opportunity to increase oil production. Stock trades quite cheaply.
Experienced some operational issues 6-9 months ago, so she sold her holdings. Many management changes happened, and there may be many more coming. Trying to transition from vertical wells to horizontal wells. Any time a company has some transitional changes, it doesn’t fit into her rulebook. Not looking to own this.
This is a gas weighted name. There are a lot of people that feel gas is going higher, but there are others who feel the deficit in gas may not be as great as people thought it would be. She is not ultra bullish on gas. They have a concentrated asset that will most likely get bought eventually. Prefers others.
Thinks that within the last hour they put up an operations update. Q2 production is higher, guidance is higher and cash flow is going to be higher. Stock should go up tomorrow. Production went up from 3,000 barrels to 12,000 barrels, an unbelievable growth. When you put on a bunch of new wells, you are going to have higher decline rates. This means the tread wheel moves faster, so you are going to have to replace it quicker.
Part of the high-yield group that has done so well for so many years. They deserve the premium multiple they have. Next year, when their current project comes on, you’re going to see a huge growth in cash flow production, and she thinks they will grow into that multiple. Just bought this stock last week.
