COMMENT

Has done exceptionally well, and the management team is well regarded. They sold a platform where they are going to give you a yield plus some growth. However, when giving out yield, they will not be able to grow as quickly as some of the non-yielding plays. They have the assets to be able to grow.

BUY

This is a stock that she has to own in her yield fund if she believes that oil prices are going to be stable or go higher. She does believe this so she does own the stock. Has not operated well for a long time, and has had quarter after quarter of disappointments with their Syncrude asset.

STRONG BUY

A lot of non-yielding names such as this have gone up a lot. This one has gone up some, but compared to what she thinks the valuation should be, it has a lot more to go. Had considered having this as a Top Pick. Likes the acquisitions they have made. Decreased their debt. Great opportunity to increase oil production. Stock trades quite cheaply.

COMMENT

Made an acquisition in the Eagleford, so she sold her holdings. Felt it was going outside their core competency, so she is going to wait on the sidelines. Wants to see a few quarters of operational success in the new play, just to make sure that everything is working properly.

COMMENT

If the price drops further it will intrigue her, but she is looking closer to a $2 entry price. There probably won’t be a lot of results for a couple of months. Likes the team, the assets and everything about it, but it is not fitting her criteria right now.

COMMENT

Experienced some operational issues 6-9 months ago, so she sold her holdings. Many management changes happened, and there may be many more coming. Trying to transition from vertical wells to horizontal wells. Any time a company has some transitional changes, it doesn’t fit into her rulebook. Not looking to own this.

COMMENT

This is a gas weighted name. There are a lot of people that feel gas is going higher, but there are others who feel the deficit in gas may not be as great as people thought it would be. She is not ultra bullish on gas. They have a concentrated asset that will most likely get bought eventually. Prefers others.

PAST TOP PICK

(A Top Pick May 14/13. Up 45.65%.) Being acquired by Long Run (LRE-T). They are going to spin out an exploreco, so she will hold on to that.

PAST TOP PICK

(A Top Pick May 14/13. Up 69.93%.) Just bought more of this last week. It is still not overvalued.

PAST TOP PICK

(A Top Pick May 14/13. Up 23.73%.) Sold her holdings a few months ago. Still has room to the upside, but she was just trimming some of her internationals.

COMMENT

Sold this as part of her international trimming, but doesn’t see any reason for others to do the same. It’s in Columbia. Management is good. The land continues to prove fruitful for them. Not overly expensive.

HOLD

Thinks that within the last hour they put up an operations update. Q2 production is higher, guidance is higher and cash flow is going to be higher. Stock should go up tomorrow. Production went up from 3,000 barrels to 12,000 barrels, an unbelievable growth. When you put on a bunch of new wells, you are going to have higher decline rates. This means the tread wheel moves faster, so you are going to have to replace it quicker.

COMMENT

2nd quarter numbers were not quite as strong as they could be. She bought more of this last week. Feels that there is a big free cash flow wall coming. Likes it at this price.

BUY

Part of the high-yield group that has done so well for so many years. They deserve the premium multiple they have. Next year, when their current project comes on, you’re going to see a huge growth in cash flow production, and she thinks they will grow into that multiple. Just bought this stock last week.

BUY

Just bought more of this last week. After many years of acquisitions, they are now having operational momentum, and the stock price is reacting favourably.
