Stock Opinions by Dennis Gartman

COMMENT
Jobless claims is the most important number. We have had a spike down in the last two weeks and historically this spike has meant the end of the recession. Stock prices always go up before the economy improves. Doubts we will re-test the lows.
SELL
Bearish on Gold, selling short. Hasn’t traded a gold company, long or short, for a long time.
SELL
Does not think Gold is going up. He is shorting ABX
BUY
They are finding a lot of oil, even if it is high priced and doing remarkable things with sugar and ethanol.
BUY
The merger was a wise move. The chart says he should be a buyer.
DON'T BUY
China is the best stock market in 2009. But he is not comfortable owning it.
WAIT
Is nothing more than a play on grain prices. Has no opinion on this stock. Thinks grain is cheap and may buy in next few days.
WEAK BUY
Is not making new lows, but quietly going up. Get out if it goes against you by 5%
TRADE
Hamburger helper of steel industry. Thinks this is a coincident indicator of steel industry.
SHORT
Every high seems higher. They found support at $62. Last rally was light volume.
WAIT
Coal: If he was going to do anything in it he would be a buyer, but not aggressive. He needs to see stabilization of stock prices in this sector before buying.
DON'T BUY
Don’t worry about the shorts forcing the market down any more.
BUY
Steel: Steel should increase in value first when economy improves. He is going to begin to buy steel.
