Small holding for him. The purest play in LNG. He is a bull on LNG and Canadian Gas. Recent uptrend is not just due to the cold winter. Decline rates in the US are accelerating. They had a pretty big run and are ahead of themselves here. He sold most of it. Looking for a pullback to buy again. Long term he likes it a lot.
There is no need to load up on this. Very solid company. Prospects for getting involved with LNG space in Western Canada are pretty high. A recent brokerage report indicated it should be one of the leading contractors and leading industry players in LNG going forward. LNG is a long-term story with many, many years involved, but stock is doing okay so far and management is good.
Could get very excited about this, especially if this whole LNG expansion goes through. Owns the largest fleet of the big Cat movers, etc. in the northern part of Western Canada. They build roads and crush gravel. Just twinned the highway from Edmonton to Grand Prairie and contracts are just going out to twin the highway from Edmonton to Fort McMurray.
A stock in LNG infrastructure? There is not a way to play this in a large cap way that is safe and secure. This company is a smaller company and about 20% of their work is being done for Petronas and Apache in the Liard (?) basin, which is in Northeast BC with basically no infrastructure. She is really bullish on the space. Just reported a record quarter with about 14.6 million EBITDA. We are going into a strong season for them seasonably. Reasonably priced at 4X EBITDA.
Small cap but the largest owner of large cap equipment in Northeast BC and Alberta. They do civil infrastructure and construction work. Set up well sites for oil and gas companies as well as rock crushing and highway construction. Thinks they will benefit from the LNG spending that is going to happen. Q2 was a little bit weak because of weather issues. Trading at about 4X EBITDA.
Capitalizing on the growth in BC. Removed from portfolio as it began to run up. With delay in LNG announcements he though it had less potential. Once LNG gets approved and pipeline is built they will benefit.
