DON'T BUY

Had a major hiccup in terms of production. Prefers others.

BUY

Feels that a lot of senior oils are in trouble by having a lot of difficulty in replenishing their reserves. Juniors are able to grow their companies a lot more effectively with growth in production and commodity prices. In the juniors, likes True Energy, Gentry and Endev.

WATCH

Stock is undervalued. Very good value. Not high risk.

DON'T BUY

Had some wells that froze last winter and didn't come back so production fell rapidly. It's shallow gas, so a higher risk.

SELL

Doesn't like. Where there's smoke, there's fire. Very shallow gas wells.

DON'T BUY

Looking to be bought out but no one is interested which is not a good sign. You have to be careful when trying to pick a turnaround play.

WATCH

Had some problems. Some lacking wells.

TOP PICK

70%+ of the Company is natural gas. Last year did 2857 BOE's a day. A large amount that was supposed to come on in Nov/03 didn't come on until Jan/04 and the stock got hammered. Should be over 4000 by the end of the summer and more than 4500 by year end.

DON'T BUY

A walking wounded. Good management and good land position but haven't been able to keep production up.

DON'T BUY

Stock dropped by 30% because they reported their production numbers were way below expectations. Expect them to increase their BOE's by the end of this year. Good management.

BUY

Traded very quickly up into the $2 level. Probably was overvalued at that time. Drilling almost 100 per year, low cost gas wells and taking their BOE up to almost 5000 barrels by year-end. Should grow into its lofty price.

DON'T BUY

Has done spectacularly well. Has some upside to $2.40, but they need to start showing some growth. Good management. A “show me” stock.

TOP PICK

Virtually 100% natural gas. Drilling very shallow wells in southeast Alberta. 100% success rate. They have 100 wells to drill over the next year or so.

BUY

Its strategy for increasing its value has been relatively low risk, shallow wells in the Medicine Hat area. Expect growth from 3000 to 5000 barrels a day.

HOLD

About 60% gas. Has had good run ups but now is moving sideways. A good junior.
