Lithium batteries. Stock has pulled back significantly since mid June. Management still thinks opportunities are still pretty good for cars, but are really excited about the opportunity for backup power and smoothing the power grid, particularly in the UK. If that unfolds as expected, this would be a very interesting opportunity. The problem is that there is no one really following this company from an earnings viewpoint, so it is difficult to get a feel for it. If they are successful beyond cars, this offers a good opportunity.

DON'T BUY

Doesn't see any sign that it is going to be profitable. Have about $10 million in revenues and in order to get $5 million profit, it would have to be about a 50% profit margin, which he doesn't see happening. He could see it even drifting lower in the coming year.

DON'T BUY

One of his biggest shorts this year. A lot of promoters got into this thing and promoted the heck out of it. Not a lot more downside.

Manufactures lithium ion polymer batteries in an environmentally friendly way. Currently testing with a couple of auto manufacturers. The question is, will they be able to roll out tons of batteries and create lots of sales. Expected to earn $.02 in 2012.

Another of his big shorts. It’s a great company but not profitable, but has a massive valuation. Feels it is under $1 value. The promoters took it too far.

Lithium ion polymer batteries for automobiles. This is his biggest Short. Good company with $4-$5 million in revenue and a good management team but the issue is on valuation, which is far too rich and FV should be somewhere around $0.80 to $1.

TOP PICK

Huge breakout in March because of a major announcement on a contract from Chrysler's. It then ran out of steam followed by profit taking. Downtrend line has just broken so the stock is starting a new up leg.

Produces non-toxic lithium ion polymer car batteries. The gamble here is that some more very good news comes through.

Lithium ion polymer batteries, which is a tough place to make a living. Has gone up about 10X from its base. As a contrarian, he is always wary when stocks do this.

Movement of the stock will be news driven. Pretty fluid environment right now. He would stay away from the unproven businesses. You can get some strong businesses with a proven history at a good price.

Lithium ion polymer batteries. Interesting technology. The play is to have lithium batteries into cars. A lot of batteries have already been contracted for so this company seems to be late for the party. If you own, consider lightening up on your position.

A speculative venture. They are working on lithium batteries which they are attempting to sell into the notebook market. Forecasts are that they will lose $0.08 at the end of Sept/06 and expecting the loss to accelerate to $.10 in 07.

DON'T BUY

Product is expensive and sales are slow. Have a lot of cash. Wait for sales to improve.
