Stockchase Opinions

Fabrice Taylor Automodular Corp. AM.H-X COMMENT May 29, 2013

Assemble modular’s for cars, basically Ford’s, and they lost their contract. However, they have about another 1-1.5 years to go so they are going to generate a lot of cash. Have about $27 million in cash on their balance sheet. Adding up what you think they are going to make and what they have in the bank, stock is probably trading for less than that sum of cash. Possible cut in the dividend, which the board will decide on, on a quarter to quarter basis. Be careful on this one.

BUY
Been on his radar screen but he did not pull the trigger. Been a really nice growth story. Need to see if they can continue to execute and deliver. Because growth came from such a low level it is actually not a bad place to be compared to other consumer cyclicals.
DON'T BUY
Used to follow very closely. Then he never decided to buy in. Was certain management could work through difficulties. Also there was very little volume, which he requires. Doesn’t fit his method.
PARTIAL SELL
AutoCanada (ACQ-T) or Automodular (AM-T)? These are 2 completely different types of companies. This one is a much more speculative type of company. It has potential but given his outlook on the economy, he would probably trim both of them..
SELL

(Market Call Minute.) Stock will be good for a year and then it will go down.

HOLD

Starting to look at this one a little. Not a lot of assets, but the ROC is high. Screening well, which means others are also looking at this. Yield of 8.76%.

COMMENT

Hasn’t met with management yet but numbers are impressive. Seem to really know how to extract profit from a relatively small amount of revenue. Very nice dividend. Last quarter was a good one. Earnings are volatile. Have a lot of cash in the balance sheet.

COMMENT

Doesn’t know a lot about this, but is very impressed that it has a 8.7% yield and is trading at 3.5X trailing earnings. This, combined with the fact that it is in the auto parts sector, which he is generally positive on, makes it interesting

COMMENT

Assembled modules for Ford (F-N) but losing their contract. Difficult business but they were very good at it. Cranking out cash and returning 40%-50% on equity. Have a ton of cash. Contract is good for another 1-1.5 years and generates a lot of cash. The question is, what do they do? Do they pay the cash out, try to find a business to buy, or trying to find new contracts? A lot of people feel they could get new contracts but that is difficult because, if they could, they would have done it. 13.3% dividend yield.

COMMENT

Ford (F-N) has decided not to outsource to this company anymore. Originally it was going to be closed down in early 2014 but have now extended the period of time. They have also said they will pay for some of the closing costs. So this is a company that really has no business in 2015, but they are sitting on a lot of cash, which is close to where the stock prices. They are out there looking for new contracts. 11% dividend.
