Rick Stuchberry Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. RDY-N TOP PICK Jun 18, 2014

Generic drugs. Facilities are not all in India, but they have low cost production. Half their sales are in North America. The US is going to generic drugs, and we are going to generic drugs, because the cost of hospitalization has to be driven down. This company is a big beneficiary of that.

WEAK BUY
One of the largest pharmaceutical firms in India. OK as a stock, but he prefers Novartis (NVS-N), which has been around a lot longer.
TOP PICK

Headquartered in India. Labs are in the Britain and India. FDA approved. Anything produced in these labs can be sold in the US. Obama care is going to generics and this is one of the largest generic manufacturers in the world. A lot of their costs are in the Ruby and this has been clobbered in the last couple of months. India is their third biggest market.

BUY

Generic drugs. The advantage of this is that its processing is in India so it is a very low cost producer. Have research laboratories in Cambridge in the UK. Looked at this as an opportunity to play generic drugs.

WATCH

The Indian pharma sector is a generic story. In the last year the returns have been the worst in 15 years. He likes the story, but does not know if he likes this one.

COMMENT

One of the largest generic drug manufacturers globally. Worldwide, all the healthcare systems are trying to get their costs down. Their numbers are pretty good.

COMMENT

Thinks this can go a little further, simply because the money flows into India are quite enormous right now. A lot of international money managers are looking for places to go where there is a lot of potential, and with the new president in place, money, is flowing into India. He will probably look at trimming his holdings in order to take a little bit of profit, but will keep it as a core position.

PAST TOP PICK

(A Top Pick Jan 23/14. Up 18.37%.) Strictly generic. This was a play on India, and fortunately Mr. Modi won the election and things in India have been quite good since then. There have been some corrections along the way and these stocks tend to have a bit of volatility to them. Still likes this and thinks there are good money flows into India.
