Canada's first offshore wind project in the Queen Charlotte Islands on the West Coast. Economics on wind farms work out very well. Power Purchase Agreement is required giving the operators a guaranteed revenue stream. Still early days.
A wind farm developer. Have a big project, 1.75 GW, on Vancouver Island, which hasn't started producing it. Doesn't believe they have the permitting or authorization nor are their transmission lines. A very premature company.
Building a massive wind energy project offshore of the Queen Charlotte Islands. Stalled because their customer B.C. Hydro has been revising their long-term acquisition plans. This company is perfectly positioned to capitalize on this. Thinks it's about to make a move again now that B.C. Hydro has got its act together of acquiring Green power.
With the new US administration and the new greening of Canada, there is a lot of growth in the wind industry. Coming off a small base so the growth prospects are good for the next few years. In the current market environment, you can invest in much more established companies with secure prospects as opposed to this one. Very speculative.
