BUY

Her favourite Canadian bank. Well positioned domestically, US operations will benefit from capital markets activity. HSBC acquisition should increase potential domestically.

DON'T BUY

Will be impacted if tariffs come through. In the aerospace sector, she'd rather own (and does) a more diversified company like RTX.

SELL

Really benefited from building out when US majors got out of retail gas operations. Now not a lot more room to grow in the US, so they looked to Japan (and were rebuffed). Good operator, buys and integrates well on M&A. Store traffic weakness with economic slowdown. Better growth stocks that don't rely strictly on M&A.

HOLD

Some weakness in recent results. Sometimes when a stock's run up, and results come in lighter than expected, stock sells off on a trade. Fundamentals haven't shifted significantly. Relatively stable earnings, so it's good for income. Asset management divisions can be lumpy with interest rate moves. Reasonable investment for income with some growth.

She owns CB.

HOLD

Lumpy road to recovery, but Iger's making progress. Streaming is becoming profitable. Content offerings are turning around, with a huge library. Parks have slowed, investment has increased; yet still a destination vacation for many across the world. Good growth in cruise ships. Undemanding multiple under 20x PE. She's being patient; upside from here.

WAIT

Announced spinoffs. Lots of costs involved in decentralizing. Quarterly results and guidance were weak. Too early to enter. Not sure she'd want to own all the resulting parts. Needs more visibility.

WEAK BUY

Likes the pipeline space for income, and this one is fine. She owns PPL instead, and see her Top Picks.

TOP PICK

Stock pulled back 6% on the January reporting, attractive entry point. Cloud computing grew 31% instead of the 32+% expected. She thinks 31% is still pretty decent. Spending on data centres increased quite a bit. Management believes growth will pick up in latter part of this year.

Tends to invest in a company, such as LinkedIn, before it becomes mainstream. Early investment in AI as well, and well positioned to ride that wave. Strong balance sheet, recurring revenue stream. Yield is 0.8%.

(Analysts’ price target is $506.15)
TOP PICK

Very high margins, very profitable, recurring revenue. Oligopoly with Moody's. Divisions experiencing good growth. Highly scalable. Well positioned to benefit from increased capital markets activity. Long-term compounder. Yield is 0.7%.

(Analysts’ price target is $601.52)
TOP PICK

This is her pick today for income. Operates largest liquids pipeline around the world. Transports 30% of crude oil produced in NA. Nat gas pipeline transports 20% of what's consumed in US. Purchased 3 nat gas utilities, regulated and defensive cashflow stream. Solid backlog of growth projects. She'd buy here with the pullback. Yield is 6.3%; dividend increased for 30 consecutive years.

(Analysts’ price target is $64.56)
