HOLD

EMA vs. FTS Utility stocks are safe to own in times of fear. Fortis is one of the best managed utilities in Canada, with Emera right behind it. He wouldn't sell if you're holding for income. They'll gradually get back some of the money lost as time goes on.

BUY
Owns cell towers. With 5G coming, great opportunities to build a lot of sites. Like a utility. Expensive, because of the incredible growth. Could be volatile. A good buy and hold for 5 years.
COMMENT
Tax loss selling. Usually from Nov 15 - Dec 15. Won't have much of an impact on the market, as most people already sold in the spring and summer.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Nov 28/19, Up 41%) They're figuring out how to monetize their assets. Target of about $315 over the next year.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Nov 28/19, Up 75%) The world turned out to be Amazon's playground. He has a $4000 plus target on it.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Nov 28/19, Up 25%) One of the great Canadian retail companies. Focused on young consumer, and already into online sales before the pandemic. The key is that they sell various brands, not an "Aritzia" brand, so they can swap out as names get stale. Target of north of $30.
BUY
Leading auto parts maker, and also at the leading edge of design. Able to supply the electric vehicle market, yet at a dirt cheap multiple. Good to hold into the next business cycle, 2-3 years. It will do well over time, but with volatility along the way. No hesitation buying it today.
RISKY
Leaders at moving into drones. New technology. Could be exciting, but still speculative. If you're excited about it, hold some, but don't put your whole portfolio in it.
HOLD
He owns a smidgen. Likes it and what they're doing. Victim of pandemic. Expensive stock going into the pandemic. It will come back and regain some of its cache. Protests against its use of animal products, and if these gain steam, GOOS could suffer.
BUY
Brilliant management. You'll do well in the long-term. Probably heavily owned by institutional investors, which creates price swings when they move positions. Don't worry. Put it away for 3-5 years and you'll be very happy.
HOLD
Stock pummeled, but has soared with the 737 MAX coming back. Stock's recovered most of what it lost. A lot less flying going on, and airlines don't have money for training now. From here on, a good hold, but too late for a buy.
DON'T BUY
Outlook for copper is wonderful, as it's the metal of electronics. Zambian government is demanding more in taxes. Bought Panama mine at a high price. Political considerations are holding it back.
COMMENT

Too late to get in on semiconductors? Work from home triggered computer purchases, needing more semiconductors. 5G will also require semis, as well as vehicles and fridges. Semi outlook is wonderful. Intel is the only one that's struggling. He owns Broadcom, as they manufacture a lot of different components. Extremely well managed. An ETF is also a decent way to play it.
