COMMENT
Is Shorting this stock a good strategy? Probably not a stock that he would want to Short. Charts have been going up along the 50 and 200 day moving averages. The company is growing at 10% with a 13 PE.
BUY
He bought this on the big drop in February. Nice dividend of 2.8%. This is an opportunity.
BUY ON WEAKNESS
Great dividend and nearly 5.5%. This stock has always stayed above the 200 day moving average. Cash flow is great. This would be a more defensive part of your port folio.
COMMENT
Likes this one and has been watching it. Long-term you have definite secular growth. The PE makes him a bit shy about purchasing it. Would prefer it in me mid to early $50s.
COMMENT
This holds all of the large-cap gold companies. Completely oversold and trading very divergent away from gold prices. If gold continues to move up and Europe continues to have issues, he feels gold can do well.
HOLD
Has done extremely well and is up 15%-16% year to date. In the near-term, it has gotten a bit frothy but you should continue to hold it over the next 12 to 18 months.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick March 17/11. Up 75.67%.) Still loves the stock at this point. It is growing at 20%+ based on estimated earnings. Trading at a market multiple 13X PE. Consider Buying if it gets down to $565-$570, its 50 day moving average.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick March 17/11. Down 27.79%.) The problems last year were really Europe. Longer-term, these types of energy names, particularity in the oil Sands space, will continue to do well.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick March 17/11. Down 22.1%.) Got stopped out at $25.30. Longer-term, the need for uranium will be continuing.
DON'T BUY
In the telecom space outside of Canada he prefers AT&T (T-N) and Verizon (VZ-N), which he has done well with. This company has a nice dividend but the stock has gone sideways.
BUY
Outside of North America, tobacco consumption continues to be pretty strong. Nice dividend. Looking at 10%-11% for long-term growth with the PE of 16. Would try to get in at $85, the 50 day moving average.
COMMENT
Long-term, you have great growth. 75%-80% of their revenues come from Asia and long-term that is very positive. In the interim, the stock has moved sideways to negative since Aug/11. He would like to see a little more strength with stronger numbers.
COMMENT
Has done well since last year. Performance will have much to do with where yields and interest rates are going over time as well as where stock markets are going. If you believe that equities and markets will continue to move up and interest rates will move up, it will be a positive performer.

Prefers Coach (COH-N). This one is new so not something he would put into his portfolios until he saw more of the annual and quarterly reports. Company has great growth but the valuation scares him.
