USD equity value ETF to hold within an RRSP: Will I pay US withholding tax? Several value ETFs are around including VTV, VIG, VOOV. Look at ETF.com to compare. These three charge similar ETFs. Re: tax: The US recognizes RRSPs like their IRAs in terms of tax, but the US does not recognize TFSAs. Dividends are low, so the question is, Do you like the sector?

Bought it when markets tanked in Dec. 2018. Very cheap at 4 basis points. Holds value stocks like Procter and Gamble, but it also holds defensive stocks. Also this is a huge fund. He's long owned this.

VTV is a value tilt and VUG is for growth. Together, they make up the whole market. In the long run, growth makes sense but value names are cheap right now. Would be biased to value right now.
