Jean-Francois Tardif QMX Gold QMX-T BUY Feb 26, 2007

Has a very narrow high-grade section (small amount of gold?) and expected to start production next year. Only have 2 holes, so there is risk here. Very speculative.

Operates in Val Dor and Rouen-Noranda in Quebec. Excellent management team. Had a bulk mining production last year. Expected to go into production fairly quickly. A lot of exploration potential. Good solid management team.
COMMENT
Had a mine in Québec but unfortunately they were losing money because of operating costs and production levels. Stock has been diluted severely over the last couple of years. Have another development project which looked like they were going to be able to finance but have been very slow in achieving this.
BUY
They just did a private placement--institutional money is coming into this. He's impressed by this company. He will hold this long term.
WAIT

Owns shares at 10 cents They have an old Quebec mine, but the project has been dormant. He's excited about it now, though. QMX's neighbours in St. Catharines just got taken out for $32 million, and QMX's project has way more area. This project, a mill, is now back up and running, and the mill will pay for the overhead. This sector was decimate, but now with the revival in gold, projects like this will get started again. He'll continue to hold QMX. He can wait till it gets going. Hold at 10 cents. QMX is a speculative, "fishing" stock though. Safer are Agnico Eagle or FNV-T.

BUY

All projects like QMX, which have laid dormant for some years, are being activated again. These will be taken out and this is what is happening here. It will be taken out by Eldorado. There will be amalgamation in the sector so look at producers who have leverage and those who are re-activating.
