Very disappointing stock. This is a water story and they have systems for the oil/gas industry. He likes both the water and oil sectors. Unfortunately, their results have been very disappointing. Merged with another company in 07. Cutting costs.
Thinks it's too small to get the attention from the markets in this type of environment. Expect it will just drift around until there is better clarity on the overall market picture.
The oil and gas industry produces a lot of wastewater and this company cleans it up while extracting hydrocarbons. Technology we’re very interested in, may be a while before it’s adopted.
(A Top Pick Aug 7/07. Down 49%. Formerly Torr Canada (TOR-T)). Water industry. Didn't get as many contracts as expected, lost money and the balance sheet looked like a disaster. Sold his holdings, but is still watching as he believes in the technology they have.
Recover industrial wastewater, particularly water used in oil recovery. In the right category and are strongly region based and partnering with groups and have got the traction. Looking to expand globally. This is on his watch list but he wants to see their expansion plans. Consider Nalco Holding (NLC-N) instead.
Water recovery technology for oil sands operations that can be reused. Massive quantities of water are needed in the oil sands to recover the oil. Have some neat technology and an installed base but the risk is, can they grow the business? He is tracking this one.
