Stockchase Opinions

He's cautious. Fast-growing software name in the fast-growing business intelligence space. Probably one of the most expensive names out there in its universe, as it's seeing huge inroads with government and industry.

Half its business is government, and that's slowing outside the US due to moves by the US administration. Europe, for example, has been highly reliant on the US for defense. That's changing, as they try to repatriate a lot of those services.

PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Sep 10/25, Up 2%)

He's trimmed and added with the volatility. Fantastic job boosting enterprise side to catch up with government side. Commercial contract values are up 153% in recent reporting. Federal court struck down Pentagon AI ban on PLTR. Bit pricey.

He's writing calls against the position, strike price ~$195-200.

(Analysts’ price target is $192.00)
BUY

One of the S&P's top performers in August. Add their revenue growth with profit margin, the sum is 155. Don't sell this. It should not have declined in the first place.

RISKY

They delivered an amazing quarter, but it's a spec.

TOP PICK

Becoming a champion for individual companies owning their own data and being able to use the models themselves. Anthropic and OpenAI embedding themselves into ecosystems is like letting the fox into the henhouse. PLTR protects against that.

August 3 results showed 93% YOY growth, commercial up 150%. Best-in-class growth, strong profitability. Expensive stock, but operationalizing AI in a massive way. No dividend.

(Analysts’ price target is $197.63)
SELL

Popular name, mentioned a lot in media. Stock moves around quite a bit, volatile. Popped above 200-day MA on earnings results. Yet 200-day MA still trending lower. Valuation of ~90x forward PE, with high growth rate. But if anything goes bump in the night here, the stock will be in trouble.

Look for better risk/reward parameters. See his Top Picks.

BUY

They delivered solid earnings and there was massive short covering. PLTR is the GOAT of AI software companies. It's still an expensive stock, but is being re-rated.

PARTIAL BUY

Price target in 12 months of $182.25, long runway. Government side is massive, so fully integrated into so many defense systems around the world. Needs to strengthen enterprise side. CEO's abruptness turns people off in the way Elon Musk does. Definitely buy some here, more ~$115, and the rest ~$105.

DON'T BUY

The PE remains too high. Wait for a lower one. Inflation is the biggest risk to high-PE stocks, and Palantir is the poster child of that.

WEAK BUY

It intrigues him. The PE is very high, but they are embedding themselves as a key supplier to many companies and the US government. This gives them pricing power. He doesn't own yet because of that PE.

PARTIAL SELL

Sentiment changed on this, falling. She sold a lot of shares on the way down. She loves what they do--they are the ultimate, original AI software company. They are executing. Is happy to hold the rest of her holding.

DON'T BUY

Is expensive. Problem is they depend on government contracts, and they're opaque, lacking clarity in their reports. Great technology. Maybe buy it cheaper.

RISKY

Executing well. Increasingly employing AI in day-to-day operations. Growing use in government/defense plus strong adoption by commercial customers.

Proving it can turn demand into profit and cashflow. Revenue grew an exceptional 85% last quarter. Valuation remains her biggest concern (roughly 40x next year's sales), leaving little room for disappointment/error. Be cautious.

HOLD
Sell into strenth?

Let it run. The stock got ahead of itself and is expensive, but if you took shares off the table, hold onto the rest.

BUY

The only software name he owns. Beaten down because it's put in the software bucket, plus relatively expensive compared to peers. Sometimes you have to pay up for a best-in-class asset. Last quarter's numbers blew it out of the water. Growing 80% YOY, very profitable.

Accelerating commercial revenue on top of government contracts. Helping companies adopt AI.

WAIT

Since September, it's been in a downtrend. Maybe the chart is basing, maybe. Wants to see a breakout first.
