Lots of hype on lithium. Auto industry needs a ton. Challenge is many companies aren't profitable yet, and the valuations are very expensive due to hype. He's slightly short the stock. Positive trend, but expensive valuation and very volatile. No cashflow.

DON'T BUY

They're still losing money, and such stocks are no good in this market.

BUY

With shares at $35-40, in options action they're buying upside calls at the 45 strike in April. He doesn't know if it gets that far that fast, but he likes the upside speculation. He bought the 35s and will sell upside calls against it. He strongly believes in lithium and nickel. He likes LAC a lot.

DON'T BUY

A good company, but like MP Materials it isn't innovative enough for me. He wants innovation.

It's yet another way to play Elon Musk and EVs. It's a commodity trade and he doesn't trust commodities.

The space is to much in flux. He prefers buying gold, like Barrick.
