It is a false sense of security to think that a dividend is going to bring volatility down in an Emerging Markets ETF. This is a part of the world where there is a great deal of fluctuation. Yes you can get a cash flow, but he doesn’t have the kind of confidence for this. His guess is that this is dominated by the banking sector. He would be very careful about this. There are actually more opportunities in the big markets than are in the small ones.
