Regional bank based in North Carolina. Didn’t get into financial trouble and is very high quality. Were forced to take tarp money and to reduce their dividend but as soon as they were able to, they repaid the tarp loan and raised the dividend.

9th largest US bank located in the south east, took TARP money and gave back the first day they could and raised the dividend the first day they could. They do a lot of business writing mortgages and financing builders. Dividend should go higher as well as stock price.

9th largest bank in the US. 2.6% dividend. Good capital ratios. Recently reinstalled the dividend growth (DRIP) program. Longer-term, a recovering US would lead the stock to move higher longer-term.

First time he has ever recommended a US bank in this show. Just bought it last week. North Carolina – southeast mostly, 9th biggest bank in US. Yield is about 2.3% and he sees it growing. Loan growth is about 6%. TARP was force on them but they didn’t need it and paid it back within 7 months. Loan growth about 6%. Conservatively and well run bank.

4th best capitalized bank in the group. When Tarp money was around, they were forced to take it but didn’t need it. They were the 1st ones to pay it back and the 1st ones to raise dividends when they could. Extremely well-capitalized and extremely well run. Big play on the homebuilding business. Changed the way they valued their riskier assets so the stock dropped but this is not going to change the valuation at all.
