Biggest producer of methanol in the world. Methanol prices tend to follow gas. Expect demand for methanol to pick up. Tremendous amount of free cash flow. Paying down its debt.
(A past top pick Mar 1/04. Up 3.3%.) Was picked for growth and income. Should eventually benefit from the opening of the natural gas north of the 60th parallel. Nice dividend. Well-managed.
(A past top pick Mar 1/04. Down 53%.) Right after this was chosen, they came out with a share issue which was dilutive and an analyst questioned the value of the forests. Holding waiting for quarterly results and what the new share issue will mean.
There has been a selloff on all the base metals in the last few weeks. This has been based on sentiment and profit-taking, not fundamentals. A very solid company.
