This is about to have a new name, Equinox Gold, which signals the appearance of Ross Beatty, a serially successful mining financier from Canada. This is not for the impatient, as it will take a while to build this company. (Analysts’ price target is $2.42.)
Have a couple of gold deposit projects in Brazil. Heading towards production on one of them and have already started purchasing some of the long lead-time milling equipment. Looking for about 100,000 ounces a year with the first deposit and a 2nd project behind it. Looks very good.
Operates in Brazil. Could be in production as early as 2009, towards the end of the year and producing about 60,000 ounces of gold annually. Open pit. Expect to use the carbon/leech recovery process. Expecting the cost to be below $400 an ounce. Also have a 2nd project that looks very attractive.
Moving Brazilian Aurizona project forward. Did an economic study that suggests they could produce about 50,000 ounces a year at a cost of about $420 per ounce. Upside is very considerable with about 1.1 million ounces that were not built into the study. Lots of exploration potential.
