He is looking for an exit on this one. If it goes up another $1 or two, he'll probably sell. Korean market is exciting and this is a staid telephone company, so he'd like to get into something different.
(A Top Pick Dec 5/05. Down 4%.) The largest telecom carrier in Korea. This is a long-term story. Totally out of favour now so valuations have become very cheap. Dividend is 7% plus.
A low risk stock. Has been doing severe cost cutting to become more profitable. I yield of about 6.6%. Korean currency will be going up against the US$.
Largest telephone company in Korea. Not a growth stock but has a good dividend. Has a wireless division. Big cap stocks in Korea have not been in favour, which is why it has not performed as well in recent times.
Tends not to play too much on the local market phone companies. Not seeing a tremendous growth rate in telephony in Korea. They are very much ahead of the curve in high-speed technology but would rather have a broader perspective.
