Longer-term, he thinks that all companies that have marijuana licenses, will end up being winners. The one that is going to outperform is difficult to tell at this point. This one is interesting because they have the relationship with the Dutch company, and up until recently they have been importing their production, but have now brought up their own production facilities. These are going to be choppy because they don’t have a lot of earnings and are spending a lot of money to build out production facilities. Also, we still don’t have any clarity from Health Canada as to how many licenses are going to be produced.

Can a sector that is relatively new be analysed on a technical basis? In a sector that is new and filled with micro cap stocks, there is going to be very limited institutional followings and liquidity. If you are going to get involved with this, do your homework, and instead of buying just one, buy a basket. Presuming that you buy 5 stocks, 2 will go up, 2 will go bust and one will do nothing. You have to be very careful.
